Background

Mia started skating at 7 and continued skating competitively until 21. She was a competitive skater in freestyle for 11 years. She competed under the Glenwood Figure Skating Club until 2009. She switched over to the DuPage Figure Skating Club once she was primarily training in the Chicago area. She has competed at Regional competitions. Mia has volunteered under Garrett Krug at the Champion Sports Advantage in 2011- 2012 to help skaters achieve proper technique during their strength and conditioning practices. She attended Western Michigan University where she represented GKSA and was a Senior competitor. She completed her Senior Moves in the Field and Senior Free Skate tests

Experience

Mia became a coach at GKSA in 2019. She coaches young skaters and adults at the basic skill level and who are just beginning to test under United States Figure Skating Association (USFSA).
